Made in EU.2 panel inlay printed to one side only. Grey cassette with red paper labels. Printed in England. Made in EnglandInitial pressings from 1968 came with a strange fragile gatefold cover variation: The outside was made of laminated cardboard, the inside was made of printed paper pasted on the cardboard - Polydor did not have much experience with Double LPs, most copies arrived damaged in the shops and are quite rare in mint condition.
These covers were replaced in 1970 by the more common and stable 2612 002 covers still housing the unsold 184 183/84 records. The first 5,000 copies of this release are individually numbered.

User reviews
Currently £67 on Amazon UK. That's much more like it.
In fact the very next day two sellers had it up for £56 inc. shipping new. Anyone looking to get this set, there are MAJOR savings to be made.
Back up in price again, but keep an eye out. Their prices often dip like this.
Is this edition numbered? The one I have is NOT but the unboxing I saw on YouTube show all numbered box on the back lower left
greed style
The one I got from Barne's and noble is numbered.
This may be the worst repressing ever. Looks bad, sounds bad and come with a huge pice tag. What the hell were they thinking.
MPO pressings , what a drag!!! Where are the beatiful USA original pressings? Today Record companies , specially based in cheap european editions ,only think to make easy money by easy way, sure this vinyl european edition is a crap. If you are interested in Electric ladyland go to original UK vinyl editions 1968. Then you will know truthly what punch´s sound means.
These were all pressed at QRP; not sure where he is getting MPO from. Go to Acoustic Sounds website. They also have the QRP sleeves. I rather like the set; sounds really nice to my ears. Generally can't go wrong with BG mastering....
I'm wondering if someone copied matrix numbers from an EU pressing? My US box has Quality Record Pressings (QRP) sleeves and has no mention of MPO in the deadwax.
When & where will this madness stop ?50 years after, all companies are sqeezing anything they can found and put itin nice boxes and offcourse charge it mercillessly !The Doors 1 & 2, Rolling Stones's "Beggars Banquet,Small Faces's "Ogden's...", now Jimi and many, many more..."Not to mention Mono boxes from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks and so on and so forth.SHAME, SHAME, SHAME, SHAME...
The only copy of Electric Ladyland I had was the first US press of 1969 with the two tones Reprise label and I couldn't listen to it entirely. The music is hidden in a bassy mess...really no enjoyment. I don't know what they have done but there is a "Internet rumour" of phase shifts correction made by sound ingeniers of American pressing plants (if I remember).
So with all the positives reviews of this one I decided to buy a copy...and the enjoyement beggins !
The sound is rich and clear, cymbals are there, Jimi's guitar is in front of you, nice bass lines and drum kicks, and 3D effects are working good ! An excellent remastering and pressing !
The only negative point is the pictures on the cover, and especially inside the gatefold; the quality of the printing/scanning isn't great but those of the booklet are nice.
Sounds fantastic! Loud and rich. No noise pops or cracks. Very nice press. Was clean and ready to play out of the package which is rare in my opinion.
Since only the cover changed compared to the first pressing would you categorize this as a first pressing or a repress or a reissue?
