Quad Force was the pride of Tampa Bay in the early 90's. The group, which was made up of DJ Trans and Daryl Underwood, fuled an I-4 bass war between Tampa and Orlando in 1990. Quad Force claimed that Magic Mike heard their "Feel the Bass" demo and Magic Mike subsequently stole many of their ideas and put them on his "Bass is the Name of the Game" album. Hence the name of the Quad Force album, "Feel the Real Bass."

This particular 12" is a central Florida classic, and solid record sales resulted in the group being signed to Attitude Records in Jacksonville. Attitude Records had deeper pockets and wider distribution than Underwood's home-grown label.

Sadly, due to sample clearance issues, Quad Force's LP which was released on Attitude was not nearly as good as the original release on Underwood Records. The original LP was only availble on cassette and LP.
